She is the best known talent in the area having produced for literally hundreds of clients over the past 20 years. In addition she has now returned to her artistic roots and is once again doing print design including brochures, newsletters, corporate identity packages  for many local organizations.

Those are the 'bullet points'. Here are some of the details. Rick Melchior has had over 30 years of management experience including the ownership of small companies in the areas of advertising, entertainment and information technologies. Rick has held middle and upper level management positions in several mid-size companies and a tenure of eight years, first as Chief Financial Officer and then as Chief Executive Officer of a NASDAQ traded public company. During these years he was responsible for raising over fifteen million dollars in capital for both corporate ventures and entertainment project financing through private placements, limited partnerships and grants. In addition he was responsible for developing, financing and producing entertainment and informational projects in virtually every medium including the Internet.
After 5 years as a media rep selling outdoor advertising, radio spots, and newspaper ads Rick joined with a creative partner in forming a new advertising agency specializing in retail businesses. In addition to having primary account planning responsibility he did all the media planning for the agency's clients. Clients included political candidates, retail clothing stores, shopping centers, restaurants, manufactured housing, and many other business sectors. In 1976 he moved to Los Angeles where he joined a nationally known advertising agency specializing in motion picture promotion as West Coast Media Director. At this agency he pioneered many of the TV and radio strategies still used by motion picture studios today.
Enjoying "more self confidence than good sense" as his Mother told him at the time, Rick got involved in the creation and production of television programs. Over 15 years in New York and Hollywood he financed, produced and executive produced pilots for the major networks, Pay TV music specials, series for cable television networks, top selling home videos and other award winning entertainment/information projects. He also worked on a major motion picture, and several hit television series including Night Court and Family Ties.
He has enjoyed a career of being at the forefront of new technologies in the entertainment industry including production of one of the first "platinum" home videos; creating one of the first cable advertiser supported cable channels; managing a computer graphics company that was among the first in providing computer graphics to CD-ROM productions and pioneering new techniques in the marriage of computer animation and traditional cel animation.
Since 1994 he has been involved in information technologies focusing on communications and information technologies for rural communities. During this time he has led several community efforts to develop a cohesive plan for local information driven by technology. This has included development of education programs for young and old as well as unique uses of web resources to provide local news and information on a daily basis where such had not existed for decades. One of the community websites he co-developed won an international content award. Melchior's consultation is always driven by the economic development needs of a community. In this regard he has been a guest speaker and panelist at many local, state and national conferences on both economic development and information technologies. He has provided consultations resulting in over $2.7 million in grant funding for rural communities in Texas.
Rick currently serves as a Chairman of the Uptown Marble Arts Alliance, Board Member and Chair of the Texas Rural Partners Telecom Committee
